CrossFit Blacktown was started to break the chain of regular training. It is aimed at people that are willing to go the extra distance and push beyond their comfort zone.
Regular gyms dont allow hard interval training, swearing, chalk stains etc, so CrossFit Blacktown was created to allow people to train this way. There are no shortcuts. Giving up is not an option. Breakdowns occur on a regular basis and we look at that as the 'rebuilding' phase.
I believe in correct technique, consistency and then intensity. Form and technique will never be compromised for the glory of beating someone else's time or weight.
There are no ego's in this gym. We all have the same drive to succeed in whatever life throws at us. We are all willing to suffer along side each other because it is a safe environment to do so.
To have people nervous before a workout says something to me. They know they are going to go to a place that is not pleasant, and stay there for a while. Common sense tells you to sit back and relax, but after a while, that voice in your head tells you that you have a job to do, and no matter how much it hurts, that job will be done.
Its not just the physical change that occurs here, but the psychological change. Any obstacle in life is now attacked differently, and conquered.
The success stories that come out of CrossFit Blacktown are frequent, whether it be a loss, a gain, an extra kg of weight moved, or a second less on something. This is the reason why i open this place up every day. Not for glory, not for my own financial benefit, but for real world results.
